A global manufacturer and provider of instruments, subsystems and process control solutions that measure, control, power, monitor and analyze critical parameters of advanced manufacturing processes to improve process performance and productivity. A leading provider of high technology tools and systems for research and industry. Design and manufacture equipment that can fabricate, analyse and manipulate matter at the atomic and molecular level.

Now looking for:

Technology leader in atomic force probe microscopy (AFM) for both materials and bio-science applications.
 
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the team in China, which consists of technical sales, applications scientists, and field service engineers to support performance and achievement of regional targets.
  • Establish and maintain key customer relationships in order to deliver individual and regional sales targets.
  • Provide timely and insightful market feedback regarding competition including sales amount and volumes, company trends, and other important factors that have an impact on the business.
  • Develop and maintain distribution channels to expand overall country coverage.
  • Provide the business with local market intelligence including countrywide economic and technology trends, emerging industrial applications, and academic funding forecasts.
  • Work with senior management to develop new markets and segments for existing product lines, and collaborate with headquarters to establish and implement a regional marketing program, which maximizes product sales.
 
Professional Skills/ Abilities:
  • A degree in Material Science or a similar relevant field; PhD desirable, but not required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in high tech instrument sales and a thorough understanding of the technical instrumentation sales process in the China market
  • Proven experience successfully managing a team of five or more technically savvy individuals
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to drive sales and other behavior in support of business growth targets
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English
  • Outstanding organizational, administrative and reporting abilities with proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Willingness to travel and stay overseas as required and without restriction, subject to normal visa requirements
  • A driving license
