JOB DESCRIPTION
REPORTS TO: GM, APAC Sales, Marketing, and Service
RECEIVES ADDITIONAL DIRECTION FROM: SVP, Global Sales, Marketing, and Service
LOCATION: China (Shanghai office)
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible in Greater China Region ( Taiwan & China), will focus on developing new accounts through business development activities, driving sales team with a focus on Industry, setting up new distribution channels, and supervising account managers in the assigned region.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works in a standard office environment and uses general office equipment (phone, PC, copier, fax machine, etc.). Local and international travel is required; approximately 40 to 60% should be expected. The position will be located in Shanghai facility.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible in Greater China Region ( Taiwan & China), will focus on developing new accounts through business development activities, driving sales team with a focus on Industry, setting up new distribution channels, and supervising account managers in the assigned region.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drives profitable product and service revenue growth to meet AOP goals.
- Manages and leads local Sales teams
- Architects and manages the channel strategy in Greater China.
- Develops competitive strategies to increase sales
- Establishes, implements, and communicates monthly, quarterly, and annual Greater China business forecasts and objectives
- Develops, maintains, and continuously improves management systems that ensure the awareness and successful deployment of corporate objectives into local/regional annual objectives, tactics, and measures
- Helps to guide country-specific pricing and positioning strategies of each product line, leading to the optimum combination of revenues and margin
- Supports staff in developing relationships with key customers and focusing on quality services and products
- Assists with development, planning, and implementation of corporate goals
- Directs individual employees towards successful employment, promotions, and training
- Communicates all pertinent procedural, developmental, and fiscal information to management in a timely, accurate, and professional manner
- Communicates regional market intelligence, driving key shifts in industry direction
- Supports staff to ensure the availability and use of effective tools in achieving optimal performance and communication

SKILLS:
- Experience with multi-national US based business culture.
- Demonstrated leadership skills (“Hands-on” leadership; internal and external).
- Ability to execute Corporate Objectives, translating them into local Strategies, Tactics and Metrics.
- Excellent face-to-face communication skills, both written and oral.
- Must be fluent in speaking and writing in local language (Mandarin) and English.
- Good organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks
- Working knowledge of product marketing concepts
- Familiarity with existing customer base, their applications, and the industries in which they operate
- Understanding of the Company’s products and services, and those offered by competitors
- Ability to integrate technical and marketing concepts
- Ability and willingness to travel in support of company activities
- Working knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
Minimum of 10 years experience in the following areas:
- Minimum of 5 years sales management for a multi-national U.S. based company ), including responsibility for contract negotiation, marketing, pricing, proposal generation, strategic planning, office management, and order processing
- Extensive experience in the semiconductor, TFT LCD, industrial automation, and/or Solar PV industry, prefer sub-system experience
- Technical background and experience in electronics
- Knowledge of thin film physics or semiconductor / Thin Film processing
- Experience in management position with emphasis on small teams
- Personnel management
- Experience in developing channel strategies and effectively managing multiple channel partners
Desirable:
- Experience in managing technical services, including repair, training, and applications
