Production Manager - China
ABOUT THE COMPANY:
We are a medium-sized industrial corporation operating worldwide, and we specialize in the development and manufacture of high-quality technology made of plastics and aluminum for the office furniture and automotive industries. Our products have made us an international market leader. We are searching for a Production Manager to be stationed at our Chinese plant.
Assignments:
- To be the head of mass production value stream including all company facilities, machines, fixtures and tools with the main task of organizing the production arrangement of human, material, machine, fixture and tool resources in order to ensure the required production output by reaching the planned production costs. The working processes should be clearly defined and implemented by also following the necessary safety standards as regards all machines, fixtures and tools and to ensure that they are maintained regularly.
- The mass production value stream contents out of the singled production departments as: die casting, grinding machining, polishing, assembly and plastic injection, with the following supporting departments: project and production engineering department, quality and maintenance and electrician team
- Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution and management
Requirements:
- Successfully completed technical studies as Engineer/ Master/ Bachelor
- A number of years of industrial experience in aluminum die casting and related reworking on aluminum die casting parts, also having held a comparable position in China in international companies
- Intercultural competencies, self-starter and independent worker, critical thinking and problem solving skills, able to juggle priorities, solid analytical skills, ability to plan, organize, co-ordinate and control, comfortable with conflicts and target-oriented working methodology and able to determine and implement improvements to production process
- Fluent in English and Chinese, both when speaking and writing
- Experience and ability to work in a dynamic matrix environment and in an international team
- Committed to work for our Chinese plant on site in Dongguan
