PURPOSE STATEMENT
This position is responsible for the direction, strategy, planning and execution of the Company’s APAC L&M sales channel in Greater China, South East Asia and Japan.  Leads the organization to develop, implement and achieve MNC’s Vision, Mission & Values.

Primary Responsibilities:
Will have overall responsibility for long-term strategic planning of the organization and will have primary responsibility for the following:
  • Oversee and manage sales channel across L&M portfolio in APAC Region 
    • Deploy common Regional based initiatives in areas of top line growth; process & procedures; metrics; team development, and alignment with the Vacuum & Analysis (V&A) sales channel
    • Responsible for continuously optimizing organization structure to support and align with L&M BU strategy to grow top line bookings
    • Works closely with counterparts who manage other Regions as well as V&A counterparts in order to coordinate support of global initiatives
    • Manage in Region third party channel relationships and look for areas to optimize growth and profit
  • Achieve top line bookings growth in accordance with company targets
    • Responsible for setting and reporting on Regional, product based, major customer and vertical market performance
    • Responsible for setting and reporting on field sales performance to plan
    • Works with BU leadership on pricing strategies to optimize company profits
  • Achieve expense targets in accordance with company targets
    • Develops and manages budget and budget execution for annual and long term competitiveness
  • Deploy robust processes and procedures within the Region which are consistent with expectations of global sales organization 
  • Establishes strong business relationships with major customers throughout APAC 
    • Participate and lead major account relationships
  • Responsible for organizational development and staffing
  • Ensure the company complies with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and implements best practices where appropriate

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • The position requires a senior level manager who has experience managing a large workforce in APAC 
  • Experience managing a large-scale, technical, sales is a requirement
  • The candidate will have had experience doing general business in APAC and should have managed an APAC sales organization
  • Strong leadership and communications skills; extensive experience interacting with customers and within cross-functional or matrix organizations
  • Direct skills in P & L management
  • In depth knowledge of the related industry and competitor landscape
  • Excellent knowledge of functions including Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, Legal, etc.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence, including a proactive commitment to quality, health, safety, and environmental
  • Ability to set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track activities
  • Outstanding problem solving skills to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, make recommendations and/or resolve the problem 
  • The candidate is required to speak fluently in English and Chinese, both verbal and written.  Experience in a multi-cultural environment is a must
  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred, in a technical/related field
  • 15+ years’ of business management experience, with 5+ years Sr. management experience
40~60% travel, both domestic and international
