The Sales Operations Engineer acts as liaison between Company and the customer, ensuring that customer receives the best sales support service and that the communication flow related to product issues is completed satisfactorily. This position acts as a key interface between Company, the factory and customers.
Job Title: Sales Engineer / Electronic Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Primary Responsibility:
- Manage the business relationships between Company and customers to include sales, qualifications, development, planning and forecasting, on time delivery of product, compliance with established quality standards, timely resolution of billing and pricing issues, and collaboration with technical resources for new product development and selling opportunities.
- Work in a dynamic environment to articulate the “voice of the customer” internally, and also articulate Company ideas and concerns externally to the customer.
- Assume a lead role in developing and maintaining customer relationships in Vietnam meetings.
- Involvement in pricing and share of business discussions.
- Based on knowledge from factory/customer interactions, help to properly manage inventory, forecast, and planning functions.
- Review business processes and continually recommend proactive initiatives.
- Supports RMA information, quotes, scheduling and shipping issues as needed.
- Identify and track key projects within assigned accounts. Define key windows of opportunity, Company deliverables, and customer timetables to achieve target opportunity.
- Be involved with purchasing, engineering, general management, contract manufacturer at assigned accounts.
- Ensure that visiting customer’s needs, and the actions expected by visitor as a follow-up, are understood by Company’s Vietnam members and communicated back to the team.
- Demonstrate a level of technical competency on Company’s products, in terms of technical performance and manufacturing processes.
- Provide translation support (English to Japanese and Japanese to English). Vietnamese communication skills are a plus.
Functional Requirements (Essential functions include but are not limited to . . .)
- Development and maintenance of tactical relationships with customer base.
- Key interface for Company’s Vietnam manufacturing sites between the customer's Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Management functions, and factory members and the relevant people within each Company product organization in Vietnam the U.S. and Japan.
- Four-year college degree in technical field, Engineering preferred.
- Minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years of sales operations experience, with three (3) to five (5) years experience in working with major accounts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to problem solve.
- Must exhibit a high level of integrity, enthusiasm and energy.
- Japanese professional with good comand of English language
