Primary Responsibility:
- Responsible for negotiating and recommending long-term supply agreements within assigned commodity.
- Responsible for evaluating vendors' operations and products for compliance within company standards. This includes supplier management including supplier qualification, corrective action and supplier audits.
- Optimizes supplier performance and quality by working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing and Suppliers to identify process critical specifications and/or procedures and implementing controlled manufacturing and test processes.
- Leads supplier performance management by monitoring performance data and taking any necessary steps to correct.
- Works closely with Engineering on new product development requiring vendor selection and analysis.
- Negotiates with vendors for best price on goods and services and compares quotes for best prices and best performance.
- Identifies and qualifies potential suppliers and second source suppliers. Responsible for processing and return of materials/supplies for non-conformance.
- Facilitates and performs vendor audits for vendor qualification and assessment.
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5 years of related experience.
- Experience in the Electronics field – PCBA’s, Parts, Cables, Transformers, Electronic components.
- Experience with ERP (Oracle) and Kanban inventory management in a Lean environment.
- Proficiency in both Chinese and English for work environment.
- Must have proven experience with supplier contract agreements.
- Outstanding written/verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Excellent organization skills and team work experience.
- ISO or Quality System audit experience a plus.
- High integrity, good team player with a strong work ethic.
- Working experience in global company preferred.
