Sales Manager - (Taiwan)

JOB TITLE: Sales Manger
REPORTS TO: Sales Director
FUNCTION: Sales
LOCATION: Taiwan
COMPANY PROFILE
MNC with manufacturing plants in USA, South America and China.
This MNC is a global provider of instruments, subsystems and process control solutions that measure, control, power, monitor and analyze critical parameters of advanced manufacturing processes to improve process performance and productivity.
The Sales Manger will manage a team of Sales professionals and will have responsibility for the following:
1. Manages the activities of sales professionals to achieve the sales objectives for strategic account in assigned territories.
2. Accountable for order quota achievement. Has overall accountability for planning & executing for assigned territories.
3. Represents MNC’s interests in customer negotiations; conducts follow-up on accounts receivable resulting from sales.
4. Coordinates customer demonstrations with Applications Manager and Product Groups. Gains an understanding of the quality improvement process at MNC and implements this process in daily activities. Optimizes the opportunities for the sale of MNC products by capitalizing on growth within the strategic account. Creates further growth when possible.
5. Communicate and present MNC product roadmaps and capabilities to the customer, as well as communicating and presenting the customer’s technology, product, and fab roadmaps to MNC. Responsible for creating and updating the product section of the Account Business Plan which includes documentation on strategic process flow, objective setting, program tracking, and competitive analysis.
6. Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, making recommendations to management.
7. Participates in sales negotiations and direct proposal efforts before submission of tenders.
8. Generates quotations on systems; reviews and sign-off all quotations prepared by sales administrator; completes sales checklist.
9. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies.
10. Undertakes any other duties as may be assigned by management.
11. Maintains sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
REQUIREMENTS
§ Ability to effectively interface with customers. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Possess a thorough understanding of sales skills and tactics, and have demonstrated use of these skills in the past. Must be able to travel within Taiwan and occasionally internationally for meetings and training.
§ Knowledge and skills identified above are typically acquired through 10+ years of direct sales experience and 5 years supervisory experience in a technical equipment industry and a Bachelor of Engineering level degree in a technical discipline (e.g. chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemistry, etc.) or equivalent experience. MBA will be an added advantage
§ Strong English communication skills to effectively communicate with other regional sales and personnel of Product Group.
§ Good ability to analyse sales/political situations and to provide plans to overcome adverse situations.
Good at Microsoft Office Software.
