This position needs to drive growth in our FPD revenue and profit, improve customer satisfaction and brand perception in the China market
Job Responsibilities:
- Build strategic relationships with end user customers across the FPD supply chain and throughout the customer organization from engineering to operations and procurement to executive management.
- Manage all aspects of end user accounts from penetration activities to account management and ongoing account maintenance activities.
- Research assigned customer needs, understand competitive offerings, strategize and drive actions with internal partners, and develop a strategy and product offerings.
- Identify and develop new opportunities and work to close design win and production orders to achieve financial targets, working closely with sales territory managers. Develops methods for tracking funnel of potential opportunities
- Develops, drives design in/win across all MNC products lines to grow the business, while improving customer satisfaction and brand perception
- Through frequent, close customer engagement, develop and synthesize a detailed understanding of FPD processes, applications, supply chain ecosystem, business/investment direction, technical roadmaps, competitive dynamics, and other relevant information, especially as related to MNC’ products and capabilities.
- Facilitate customer product and technology roadmap engagements and other voice-of-customer dialogs. Continually assesses opportunities for customer process improvement
- Work as a team with local sales team to influence and close business with the supply chain ecosystem/customer’s partners to adopt the design in/win from the FDP end user customers
- Supports the annual strategic planning process and contributes inputs including market sizing, market share, and other data collection analysis. Align with Marketing managers on the business strategy.
- Works with product management to develop predictive analytics for all product lines
- Inform and contribute to MNC’ strategy and roadmap in FPD and beyond
- Champion MNC’ capabilities in FPD through presentations and networking at industry conferences and other forums
- Analyzes competitors’ China strategies, assesses the effectiveness of their strategies, and adjusts the MNC go-to-market strategy as necessary to gain competitive advantages
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical or engineering field
- 10+ years of demonstrated success in customer facing roles including direct sales/account management experience
- 7+ years of experience in flat panel display and/or consumer electronics industries
- Experience with photonics / lasers technologies and/or applications
- Strong Chinese and English verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player and works well in complex cross-functional, global business environment
- Strategic thinker while adept at tactical decisions and requirements of the role
- Able to travel within China up to 40%
